NOTES: MEETING 13th December
2007 1) GREEN
CORP: All is progressing nicely, with the application for the training package
being passed by D.E.W.R in 2) VISION
3) MOTORBIKE UNLOADING AREAS: Paul reported that “Limberlost” is nearing completion and that it is expected that “La Trobe River road” will be underway before March 2008. There was discussion on appropriate signage being necessary for all users to understand what is happening. 4) CENTRAL HIGHLANDS TRAIL-BIKE INITIATIVE: There is a funding grant available to the group to undertake rehabilitation works on areas affected by trail-bike abuse and now closed off. To access this grant we must put in formal request to the “Initiative Committee”. Before we apply, it was decided that further discussions were necessary to ascertain the most appropriate places. 5) CROSSOVER HISTORIC BRIDGE: The shire has effectually taken charge of this project, we will still have a strong input, but as the owners of the bridge, the shire, has to sign off on all applications, reports, and funding applications. The “bridge” committee is meeting regularly and expect to have all the reports and paperwork ready for funding applications by middle 2008. 6) PARKS
7) ROKEBY/CROSSOVER
TRACK: Craig has upgraded the track and installed gates (not locked) on either
end of the track. In co-operation with the D.S.E., he will up-grade “ 8) CONSTITUTION: Mary reported that she has completed her investigations into a constitution for the group and recommended we adopt a standard form, this will give the group a “charity” status. 9) NEERIM SHOW: To be held on January 27th 2008. Discussions on participation, costs, and magnitude of our involvement. Every-one in favour of putting on a more informative, low key display. 10) CLEAN UP 11) MEETING PLACE FOR 2008: After discussion it was passed that our meetings for 2008 will be held at the Rokeby Hall.
