Weeds and Pest Festival

On the Saturday May 3rd, Rokeby Crossover Friends Group volunteered at the inaugural Gippsland Weeds and Pest Fest.

The aim of the festival was to draw attention to the importance of controlling weeds and pest in a sustainable way. This was achieved on the day with many interactive stalls and seminars that explained the current best practices within this space.

Rokeby Crossover Friends group was pleased to participate in the day where we talked to locals about the work we do within the Rokeby reserve. We also sponsored Mama Marsupial stand which showcased endangered native wildlife and it was an amazing hit.

Overall, it was a great day and everyone learnt a lot!
